An Enrichment Day for Audire Graduates and Interns

In the afternoon, we will look at the main, overarching addiction, common to us all.
We’ll look at how it affects us as spiritual directors and how we can recover from it.
Our morning session will cover the three stages of addiction. We will look at
ways of doing spiritual direction in each stage.
Identify signs of the three stages of addiction.
Identify addictive behavior in themselves and their directees.

Bill Brennan, L.M.H.C., C.A.P. is a psychotherapist in private practice in Ormond Beach, Fl. For the last 20 years, Bill has worked in all levels of drug treatment, including working with addicted psychiatric clients. He presently does general psychotherapy and specializes in psychological trauma. Bill received his initial spiritual direction training at the New York Archdiocesan Center for the Spiritual Development of the Laity in 1981. He also attended the Center for Spirituality and Justice in The Bronx, N.Y. in 1985, where he began to practice a more contemplative form of spiritual direction.
